NRS has partnered with the filmmakers of the recently released documentary, American Street Kid, to produce a discussion guide, intended to help facilitate conversation with youth of all ages who have the opportunity to watch the film. This guide was created through a collaboration between NRS and the Black Hills Regional Homeless Coalition, based out of Rapid City, South Dakota

The critically acclaimed documentary follows homeless youth on the streets of Los Angeles, who converge on the city with the dream of finding a better life. Along the way, these young people share their powerful stories, exposing the truth and illuminating the reality of this American crisis, helping to answer the questions of how they got where they are, and why they can’t get off the streets.

American Street Kid is available for streaming on multiple platforms, including Prime Video, YouTube, and iTunes. Click here for links to stream. This film offers a fantastic opportunity to introduce the subject of homelessness to people of all ages, and the challenges faced by youth experiencing homelessness in our country today.
